Job Description: Assist doctors in the exam room, surgery, and treatments. Client education and patient history assessment. Lab work includes blood, urine, and fecal diagnostics. Clean up between appointments and end of the day. Prescription refills. Making appointments on the computer, telephone calls, and any other work-related/hospital-related requirements. Is a multi-directional role. Proficiency with vaccines, surgical prep, in-house diagnostics, and Avimark software is a plus. Salary commensurate with experience. Upbeat, compassionate, team player to interact with clients via the phone and in-person and answer questions, make appointments, and refill prescriptions. Use of Avimark veterinary software (can learn on the job) is expected – so basic computer proficiency is needed. Fridays 9am-5pm and Saturdays 9am-1pm are a must. Must be aware of veterinary hospital procedures in a general sense. Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
